Durak Club

The card game most of Eastern Europe learned at a kitchen table, made carefully for iPhone and iPad.

Not yet released.

Two to six players. Play against the computer, or put the phones on the table and play together over Wi-Fi with no internet connection at all. Both of the ways the game is really played — Throw-in and Transfer — with a 24, 36 or 52 card deck.

What it does

What it does not do

Playing with friends nearby, honestly described

The phone that starts the room runs the game, which means it holds the deck and every hand. That is what makes a room without a server possible, and it is also its limit: this is friend-to-friend play with people you are sitting with. It is not protection against somebody deliberately modifying the app on the hosting phone, and it should not be used for anything that matters beyond the evening.
